Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fall River, MA is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform adult and pediatric echocardiography, carotid ultrasound, and related cardiovascular procedures in a per diem, day-shift role with weekend and holiday rotation. On-site at Charlton Memorial Hospital, you will join a team focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include ARDMS/CCI credentials, RDCS/RCS for adult echoes, and CPR certification. Vaccination or approved exemption is required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited program.
  • RDCS/RCS certification for Adult Echocardiography.
  • RVT/RVS credentialing for vascular imaging.
  • RDCS (PE) certification for pediatric echocardiography.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

  • Perform adult echocardiography and carotid ultrasound, pediatric echocardiography, and structural heart and cardiac devices procedures.
  • Provide patient care and health services with professional judgment and ethical standards.
  • Recognize patient conditions essential for successful procedures and respond appropriately.
  • May be scheduled for on-call STAT services during off hours.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift, Varies, 7:00am - 4:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager, Echo Services or Designee and performs diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties requiring Adult Echocardiography and/or Carotid Ultrasound, Pediatric Echocardiography, Structural Heart procedures, Cardiac Devices procedures. Provide health services using procedures to assist in the diagnosis or treatment of various human disorders. Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complimentary of medical ethics. Provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Employee may be scheduled on call to provide STAT services during off hours, when the department is closed.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of an accredited program.
  • Attain/maintain certifications/credentials from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing (CCI).
  • Two years of clinical experience preferred.
  • Adult Echocardiography requires RDCS/RCS.
  • Vascular qualification requires RVT/RVS.
  • Pediatric qualification requires RDCS (PE)/congenital RCCS is required.
  • CPR certification is also required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons, by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $44.98 - USD $67.49 /Hr.
