Job summary

University Hospitals in Beachwood, Ohio, is seeking a Medical Assistant/Clinical Partner to support the cardiology service. You will assist in data acquisition (EKG and holter/event monitors), explain tests, and apply electrodes using accepted techniques, under supervision.

You will aid with stress echo and nuclear stress testing under a nurse, ensure proper billing for procedures, and follow department policies to protect PHI.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in cardiology settings preferred.
• Basic computer skills and PHI awareness.

What You Will Do

• Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently; including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement.
• Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse.
• Properly bills for completed procedures

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years Of experience as a MA, PCA, CTA or clinical partner in a cardiology setting (Preferred)
