Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to perform interventional cardiac imaging and data input in a fast-paced Cath Lab.

You will set up imaging equipment, prepare patients, and assist in preparing procedural rooms, while upholding safety standards and collaborating with physicians and team members.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology with 1–3 years’ related experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology school with 1–3 years’ core-level experience.
• BLS and ACLS required at time of hire.
• WA Medical Radiographer license at hire or equivalent.
• Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification: WA, at hire.
• ARRT Radiography certification: at hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment/room to capture images per physician direction and protocols.
• Reviews procedure order to determine required materials and supplies.
• Inspects equipment and instruments to ensure proper working order.
• Sets up and stocks the procedure room and trays with needed supplies.
• Cleans the procedure room post-procedure to facilitate turnover.
• Inputs data into imaging modality systems.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will be at the forefront of cardiac care, utilizing cutting‑edge imaging technology to directly impact life‑saving diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance, meticulously preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. You'll ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of our latest standards and protocols.

To be successful in this role, you will combine advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging with a meticulous eye for detail, a commitment to patient safety, and a drive for continuous learning within a dynamic and collaborative Cath Lab team.

• Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image, per physicians’ direction and in adherence to department protocols.


• Reviews procedure order to determine materials/supplies that will be needed.


• Ensures all equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspecting equipment in accordance with established procedures.


• Sets up/stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with all needed supplies and equipment prior to procedure.


• Cleans procedure room post‑procedure, including cleaning of equipment/machinery in accordance with established procedures, to facilitate room turnover.


• Inputs data into the imaging modality systems.
