Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join their team in the United States. The role includes preparing supplies for surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting surgeons during operations.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma with preferred technical/vocational training. Licensure or certification requirements apply, and benefits are provided starting Day One.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational school training required.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures.
• Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy.
• Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately.

Job Description:

Work Schedule: Full time, three 12-hour shifts. Call Required.

Pay Range:

$20.04 - $37.27
