Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) for locum tenens support at a hospital in South Carolina. The role includes 12-hour shifts with nightly call, working as the first assist in the OR (about 20 patients per day), and a 30–45 day credentialing window.

EMR used is Eclinical Works; BLS, DEA, and SC licensure are required. The ideal candidate is board certified as a PA with SC license and is willing to commit to the on-site hospital setting and on-call

Qualifications

• Board Certified Physician Assistant with SC license and BLS/DEA credentials.
• Willingness to perform first assist in OR and support on-call duties.
• Credentialing timeframe 30–45 days from offer.
• Experience with Eclinical Works EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• First assist in the operating room for cardiovascular surgery (approx. 20 patients/day).
• Take nightly on-call with the solo surgeon for the group.
• Maintain credentialing timeline and documentation.
