• Perform high-volume open-heart, TAVR, and MitraClip activity as program demands.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Physician - Cardiovascular Surgeon
Salisbury, MD | TidalHealth Cardiovascular Surgery

Position: Cardiovascular Surgeon with variable scheduling and 1:4 call. Credentials: DO or MD.

Location and organization: Salisbury, MD, part of TidalHealth Cardiovascular Surgery. Our physician-led, multi-specialty group emphasizes quality care that is community driven, with over 500 providers and a strong work-life balance in the coastal region.

Responsibilities

• Join a well-established cardiovascular surgery program with collaborative, multidisciplinary team support (cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and advanced practice providers).
• Participate in advanced cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and DaVinci robotic thoracic procedures.
• Engage in procedures such as convergent atrial fibrillation therapy, TAVR, and mitral clip programs, along with other indicated surgeries.
• Perform a volume consistent with program expectations (e.g., open-heart procedures, TAVR, and MitraClip activity as applicable).
• Provide comprehensive patient care and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Surgery.
• Credentials accepted: DO or MD.
• Experienced candidates with 5+ years of practice beyond residency preferred; proficiency in general thoracic procedures is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $875,000 – $950,000 (commensurate with experience and specialty).
• Eligibility for productivity and quality incentives.
