Job summary

Avera Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technician at Avera St Mary’s Hospital in the United States. This role focuses on performing adult cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction, with the potential sign-on bonus up to $25,000-$40,000.

You will educate patients, maintain equipment and participate in outreach programs within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to moving health forward. Travel and scheduling align with day shifts and patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families and physicians.
• Associates degree in a related health care field is required.
• Licensure/certifications ARRT radiography, and RDCS (AE) per hire requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult cardiac, vascular, SE exams as directed by the physician.
• Educate patients and family on the procedure and notify the physician if immediate attention is needed.
• Maintain equipment, infection control, safety and other items to ensure high quality patient care.
• Document procedure data for interpretation by the reading physician.
• Responsible for the echocardiographic portion of the Cardiology department.
• Follow appropriate billing procedures.
• Set up and maintain quality outreach programs in echocardiography and stress echocardiography.
