Job summary

Regional Health Services Cresco, IA is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform diagnostic cardiac sonographic procedures and assist physicians in imaging exams. The role is day shift only, with no on-call, holidays, or weekends.

Requirements include at least 2 years ultrasound experience, high school diploma or equivalent, and ARDMS/RDCs (AE) certification preferred. BLS/CPR within 3 months of employment is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Accredited Ultrasound Program preferred, or ARDMS/RDCs (AE) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience required.
• BLS (CPR) certified or obtained within 3 months of employment.
• This position is day shift only; there is no holiday, weekend or on-call involvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac sonographic procedures using ultrasound equipment.
• Assist physicians and cardiologists with imaging exams.
• Scan procedures independently while applying professional judgment.
• Record and interpret pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.

The cardiac sonographer will assist the physicians and cardiologists with imaging procedures and perform imaging exams according to the accepted protocols. Sonographer will scan procedures independently while exercising professional judgment in the performance of procedures.* This position is a day shift only.
