Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. seeks a Cardiovascular Sales Representative to drive sales in the Scranton, PA territory. You will develop territory plans, build professional physician relationships and execute brand strategies in a matrixed environment.

The role requires 3+ years in pharma/commercial sales, with cardiovascular experience preferred, and strong analytical, CRM and communication skills. Travel may be required to cover the territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 2+ years of cardiovascular/cardiometabolic strongly preferred.
  • Experience in highly managed, payor-controlled markets is strongly preferred.
  • Consistent track record of documented top-tier sales accomplishments.
  • Experience calling on assigned targets in the territory geography highly desired.
  • Experience launching products in competitive marketplace.
  • Ability to learn complex scientific information, apply technical proficiency and effectively communicate.
  • Must be self-motivated with autonomy and independence.
  • Strong technical & analytical skills including CRM, AI tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted physicians to maximize new business opportunities.
  • Navigate a complex matrixed selling environment with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations.
  • Use data tools and insights to determine strategies and tactics for business decision-making.
  • Demonstrate account-based selling skills through presentations and meetings.
  • Plan and organize activities for regular territory coverage.
  • Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Execute the company’s brand strategy within the assigned geographic area.
  • Participate in training and development programs.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and compliance policies with integrity.

The Cardiovascular Sales Representative (CSR) is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals within an assigned geography while operating in a compliant and ethical manner. This role develops and executes territory strategies, identifies customer needs, and drives results. Using strong analytical skills, the CSR evaluates regional market data to build and implement strategic territory business plans, foster lasting professional relationships, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, is resourceful, self-motivated, results-oriented, and collaborative.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key customers and accounts with the goal of maximizing sales.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted physicians to maximize new business opportunities.
  • Achieve success in a complex, matrixed selling environment in which the need for collaboration and cross‑functional discipline is critical. Cross‑functional partners may consist of FRMs, TLLs, Market Access, Medical, Marketing and Operations colleagues.
  • Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers.
  • Use data tools and insights, and other informational sources such as next best action, to determine strategies and tactics for business decision‑making.
  • Demonstrate account‑based selling skills (including group presentations, etc.).
  • Plan and organize activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage of the territory according to a plan of action.
  • Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Execute the company’s brand strategy and tactics within their assigned geographic area.
  • Participation in training and development programs.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and compliance policies and demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 2+ years of cardiovascular/cardiometabolic strongly preferred.
  • Experience in highly managed, payor-controlled markets is strongly preferred.

  • Experience calling on assigned targets in the designated territory geography highly desired.

  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
