Job summary

Syneos Health in Nashville seeks a Cardiovascular Sales Representative to drive sales in an assigned geography, building strategic territory plans and strong professional relationships with physicians.

The role requires 3+ years of pharma/biopharma sales, 2+ years in cardiovascular areas, and comfort with data-driven, compliant selling in a managed market. Travel and autonomy are expected, with opportunities to collaborate across medical, market access, and operations teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field required.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 2+ years cardiovascular/cardiometabolic experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in highly managed, payor-controlled markets is strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of top-tier sales accomplishments.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve/exceed sales goals in an assigned territory by executing an integrated plan.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with targeted physicians and accounts.
  • Collaborate with FRMs, TLLs, Market Access, Medical, Marketing and Operations teams.
  • Identify key influencers and manage customer interactions to target top accounts.
  • Use data tools and insights to shape strategies and decision-making.
  • Demonstrate account-based selling through presentations and engagements.
  • Plan territory coverage and manage the territory budget for activities.
  • Complete administrative tasks timely and comply with all policies.

The Cardiovascular Sales Representative (CSR) is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals within an assigned geography while operating in a compliant and ethical manner. This role develops and executes territory strategies, identifies customer needs, and drives results. Using strong analytical skills, the CSR evaluates regional market data to build and implement strategic territory business plans, foster lasting professional relationships, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen, is resourceful, self-motivated, results-oriented, and collaborative.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve and/or exceed targeted sales goals in an assigned territory by developing, implementing and executing an integrated territory business plan encompassing key customers and accounts with the goal of maximizing sales.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted physicians to maximize new business opportunities.
  • Achieve success in a complex, matrixed selling environment in which the need for collaboration and cross-functional discipline is critical. Cross-functional partners may consist of FRMs, TLLs, Market Access, Medical, Marketing and Operations colleagues.
  • Identify key influencers and achieve designated customer interaction expectations with a focus on top target customers.
  • Use data tools and insights, and other informational sources such as next best action, to determine strategies and tactics for business decision-making.
  • Demonstrate account-based selling skills (including group presentations, etc.).
  • Plan and organize activities to ensure regular and consistent coverage of the territory according to a plan of action.
  • Manage territory budget to support sales and marketing activities.
  • Complete all administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Execute the company’s brand strategy and tactics within their assigned geographic area.
  • Participation in training and development programs.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory and compliance policies and demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Additional duties as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 2+ years of cardiovascular/cardiometabolic strongly preferred.
  • Experience in highly managed, payor-controlled markets is strongly preferred.
  • Consistent track record of documented top-tier sales accomplishments.
  • Experience calling on assigned targets in the designated territory geography highly desired.
  • Experience launching products in competitive marketplace.
  • Ability to learn complex scientific information, apply technical proficiency and effectively communicate.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with a high level of autonomy and independence.
  • Strong technical & analytical skills including proficiency with CRM, AI tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
