Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Perfusion from an accredited program.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) required or within 2 years of employment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with surgeons, nursing staff, and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Design and assemble extracorporeal circuits for bypass.
• Prime, recirculate, and test circuits prior to initiation of bypass.
• Administer blood products/drugs as required and interpret lab results.
• Maintain records: bypass, auto transfusion, balloon pump, surgical reports, and patient charges.
