This role acts as a liaison between departments and supports the delivery of high-quality nursing care under the Nursing Director. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, guiding staff, hiring for RNs and support staff, and advancing quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• Certificate I Basic Life Support required.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required.
• Demonstrated Leadership Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manages and assesses day-to-day department operations, patient volume and acuity.
• Takes appropriate action to address outstanding issues.
• Provides clinical consultation to nurses or directs them to resources.
• Communicates and interprets changes in nursing practice activities and standards of care.
• Collaborates with clinical staff to ensure seamless progression of care.
• Under guidance of the nursing director, manages hiring for RNs and support staff; completes annual reviews; oversees scheduling and payroll.
• Participates in faculty hours and quality and safety initiatives.
• Has authority to direct and support employees’ daily work activities.
• Has authority to undertake employment actions such as hiring, termination and performance reviews.
