Job summary

Cardiovascular Institute of the South is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide advanced clinical care in collaboration with physicians across inpatient and outpatient settings in Louisiana.

The role requires a master’s degree in CRNP or PA, current Louisiana licensure, national certification, and BLS/ACLS with EKG within 12 months; at least 5 years of healthcare experience and strong communication and collaboration skills are

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited CRNP or PA program with current Louisiana licensure and national certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA, etc.).
• BLS and ACLS certified with EKG course completion within 12 months.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and team-based care.
• Interest in leadership, innovation in patient programs, and active organizational involvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical care as a CRNP or PA-C in collaboration with physicians.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients within Louisiana state regulations.
• Deliver care in inpatient, outpatient clinics, infusion centers, and emergency settings.
• Perform detailed health histories, physical exams, and documentation including progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate care through patient rounds, interdisciplinary collaboration, and communication with families and providers.
• Lead and participate in committees, patient care projects, and community education efforts.
• Maintain clinical excellence through continuing education, research participation, and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance and quality through accurate record-keeping and billing documentation.
