The role requires a PharmD/MD/PhD or equivalent and 2+ years MSL experience, with cardiovascular or specialty knowledge, and a collaborative, compliant approach to scientific exchange that accelerates patient access to therapies.

• Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced, and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Serve as a medical science liaison and subject-matter expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while understanding clinical practice related to areas of interest for our client.
• Translate scientific data into real-world practice to meet customer needs.
• Support development of customer-centric tactical engagement plans for Medical Affairs strategies.
• Maintain knowledge base through continuous learning and literature awareness for meaningful exchange.
• Collaborate with field Medical colleagues and broader organization to share insights in support of activities.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from HCPs/investigators with data-backed, compliant responses.

You’ll confer with internal stakeholders and build new collaborative relationships with medical and scientific leaders. You’ll contribute cutting-edge clinical and scientific data to help move healthcare forward and positively impact patients.

The Medical Science Liaison will be responsible for providing fair balanced, objective, scientific information and appropriate product education to Key Contacts in compliance with all policies and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, informative, fair-balanced and compliant scientific responses to medical information requests from Key Contacts.
• Medical and subject area expert to internal and external stakeholders.
• Establish, cultivate, and maintain scientific relationships with stakeholders while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice as it relates to areas of interest for our client
• Integrate scientific data into real life practice to meet customer/audience needs, adapting interpersonal style to particular situations and people
• Participate in the development of a customer-centric tactical engagement plan to support Medical Affair’s strategies
• Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange
• Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues, appropriate Commercial colleagues, and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Health Care Providers (HCPs)/investigators/health care systems/academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence into real life practice to meet customer needs

Requirements:

• Advanced scientific degree Required (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP, PA) preferred
• 2 + years of MSL experience preferred
• Experience in cardiovascular, or other specialty therapeutic areas preferred, with a demonstrated ability to quickly develop disease-state, clinical, and scientific expertise in new therapeutic areas.
• Strong scientific & clinical acumen
• Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs
• The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $170,000-$182,500. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance
