Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED completed at an accredited school.
• Nursing Assistant program completion or 1+ year of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards.
• Recognizes the normal signs (growth and development of aging) of the patient population and understands assessment, treatment, and care for the age group.
• Initiates and maintains hygiene/ cleanliness of the patients, the patient's environment, and the unit environment.
• Uses knowledge of safe storage and handling of medications (e.g., IVs, alcohol, saline, prepackaged kits).
• Performs hourly rounds and contributes to patient comfort and safety.
• Supports hydration/nutrition interventions (feeding, fluids, snacks).
• Identifies and communicates patient data to the interdisciplinary team.
• Collects and records patient-related data through direct care tasks.
• Demonstrates ongoing professional growth and evidence-based practice.
• Supports health and safety to protect patients and staff.
• Fosters a caring, respectful environment for patients and families.
• Performs general transportation and courier duties as directed.
• Participates in problem-solving initiatives.
