Job summary

Christian Hospital seeks a Cardiovascular-Invasive Tech to join our full-time team. The role includes assisting physicians at the surgical table, handling equipment, operating X-ray equipment, and supporting cardiac catheterizations. Shift: Mon-Thu, 9:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., providing essential service to our cardiovascular program.

Ideal candidates have RCIS and BLS, with medical-field knowledge preferred. Radiology Tech or Surgical Tech experience offers transferable skills.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to all in-house patients or outpatients, patients directly from the Emergency Room, or patients transferred from other health care facilities, excluding pediatric patients. Basic physical, emotional and educational assessment of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. Analgesia and moderate sedation needs are assessed prior, during and post procedure by the nurse. Assistance to physicians performing diagnostic and interventional procedures; pharmacologic and hemodynamic support of patients before, during and after all invasive procedures. Post-procedural assessment, stabilization and transfer to appropriate medical/surgical service.

Preferred Qualifications

Provides patient care essential to cardiac catheterization procedures, including calculating hemodynamic values for the physician during complicated diagnostic and intervention procedures.
