Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Supervisor for a Full-Time Variable Shift with sign-on and relocation bonuses. The role includes leadership over staff, advanced imaging, and ongoing department initiatives.

Qualifications

• Seven years or more of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment, in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Certification: BLS; RDCS or CCI vascular certification; RDCS or RDTCS/VT certifications.
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or five years of specialized hospital training.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and families to ease anxiety and aid cooperation.
• Assist physicians with examinations using standard protocols and sterile technique.
• Participate in QA, performance improvement, and education initiatives; support staffing plans and 24-hour coverage.
• Act as a preceptor and resource for staff, echo vascular sonographers and fellows; assist with advanced imaging and TEE studies.
• Oversee department budget utilization and resource management; support upgrades and replacements.
