Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System in Newark, DE invites an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Critical Care team. You will provide expert care for high-acuity cardiac patients and collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, residents, and PAs in a dynamic, 12-hour shift environment.

Requirements include a BSN or progress toward BSN within three years, at least two years of stepdown or critical care experience, and BLS/ACLS certification with cardiac rhythm proficiency.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or planned within 3 years.
• Experience with high-acuity cardiac patients.
• At least two years of stepdown experience.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.
• Cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for high-acuity cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists and residents.
• Participate in daily patient rounds to optimize outcomes.
• Manage vasoactive medications, invasive monitoring, and ventilator care.
• Support use of IABP, CRRT, VADs, and ECMO as clinically indicated.
