Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Team Leader to perform direct patient care as the charge nurse and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. You will lead a unit, plan staffing, monitor workflow, and drive quality outcomes within a premier Magnet-designated hospital in Dallas.

The role requires a BSN, Texas RN license, and completion of charge nurse training with annual certifications; an opportunity to obtain advanced specialty credentials within two years is provided.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited school required.
• Charge nurse training and competencies must be completed (within 90 days if external hire).
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license.
• Clinical course certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) per RN area.
• Advanced specialty certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provides front line leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, ensuring quality and integrity of care.
• Develops staffing plans based on patient acuity and oversees day-to-day operations on the shift.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts staffing to support unit fiscal goals.
• Coordinates and facilitates efficient patient flow for admissions and discharges.
• Supports department and organizational objectives including patient experience and quality measures.
• Participates in process improvement projects and peer interviews as requested by manager.
• Assists with incident investigations.
• Other duties as assigned.
