Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of placement is required/Preferred: PALS.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Two years critical care, cardiovascular, ED or Flight nursing experience.
• Advanced skills with EKG interpretation and recognition of complex rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of nursing principles and apply them per SCHS policies and Oregon law.
• Assess patient condition, plan care, and collaborate with disciplines to meet needs.
• Provide safe environment and support Lean continuous improvement.
• Document patient care per hospital policies and regulatory agencies.
• Provide therapeutic presence and effective communication with patients and caregivers.
• Administer medications in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide patient care in diagnostic procedures and monitor equipment and supplies.
