Citrus Cardiology Consultants in Crystal River, FL, seeks an inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a 7-on/7-off day shift. This 100% inpatient role has no outpatient duties and works with attending cardiologists to care for acute and chronic cardiovascular patients.

New graduates are welcome; board-certified NPs or PAs with Florida license or eligibility are encouraged to apply. Training and mentorship are provided to support onboarding and clinical growth.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant credential required.
• Active Florida license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience preferred but not required.
• New graduates welcome.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in cardiovascular medicine.

Responsibilities

• Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients.
• Perform inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations.
• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Review EKGs, laboratory results, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and care plans.
• Coordinate care with the hospital team.
• Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation.

Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Crystal River, Florida | 7 On/7 Off | Day Shift | New Graduates Welcome

Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its hospital-based cardiology team in Crystal River, Florida.

This is a 100% inpatient position with a seven-days-on, seven-days-off daytime schedule and no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The APP will work closely with attending cardiologists while caring for patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.

Experienced providers and new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply. Training, mentorship, and a supportive onboarding process are provided.

Responsibilities

• Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients




• Perform inpatient consultations and follow-up evaluations




• Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions
