Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Cardiothoracic Transplant Clinical Pharmacist to lead immunosuppressive therapy and collaborate across transplant services. The role focuses on education, patient-centered care, and advancing transplant pharmacotherapy within an integrated health system.

The position involves clinical rounds, protocol development, teaching learners, and ensuring safe, evidence-based medication management for heart and lung transplant patients.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Board Certification by examination or equivalent preferred and required within 18 months of hire.
• Must meet Board of Pharmacy requirements to enter into a Collaborative Drug Therapy Management agreement (CDTM).
• Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration license, NPI, and DEA registration when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead immunosuppressive and opportunistic infection discussions on rounds.
• Educate patients and healthcare professionals about transplant pharmacotherapy and protocols.
• Develop and implement transplant protocols, quality improvement, and research projects.
• Precept PGY-2 transplant residents and other learners; support education within the department.
• Provide direct patient-care and integrated pharmacy services across inpatient and ambulatory transplant services.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship and formulary management.
