About the Clinician's Workday

The Physician Associate will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, operating room, and emergency room settings on a day shift and 24-hour shift basis. Scheduled clinical hours run Monday through Friday with a 7:00-8:00 AM arrival, continuing until the caseload is complete, with workload volume determining early or late departure. Administrative responsibilities are minimal, limited to communication, select phone calls, and medication management as needed. Call coverage is required on a rotating basis every third week and weekend, with clinicians taking first call except for transfer center responsibilities.
