Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Concord, NC is seeking an Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a well-established team. You will deliver comprehensive care for both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, with no OR responsibilities and rotating 10-hour shifts across weekdays.

Opportunity for professional autonomy and collaboration with experienced surgeons. Ideal candidates are NP or PA graduates licensed in NC with prescriptive privileges and DEA;

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified.
• Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification required.
• Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP Certification required.
• Experience performing procedures such as talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, pericardial drain removal and wound VAC placements.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in inpatient settings.
• Work on a rotating four, 10-hour shift schedule with rotating weekend coverage; anticipate about one weekend every 3–4 weeks.

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute –Concord, is currently seeking an Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Concord, NC. You’ll be joining a great team atmosphere with opportunities for autonomy. Our surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. Our busy practice provides plenty of opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally location.

Practice Highlights:

• The practice has 12 cardiac and thoracic surgeons across SHVI and 28 surgical APPs at three sites
• Busy practice averaging 1500 cases a year between cardiac and thoracic services
• The practice performs both inpatient and outpatient procedures and utilizes a closed ICU
• No OR responsibilities. No call. Travel may be required to other sites.
• Position consists of providing care to both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients.
• Work in the inpatient setting on a rotating four, 10-hour shift schedule with rotating weekend coverage. Anticipated to work 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks.

Ideal candidates:
