Baptist Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Cardiothoracic Surgery team at the UAB Cardiovascular Clinic. The PA will perform histories, physical exams, and coordinate patient care under the supervision of an attending physician, delivering state-of-the-art symptom management and treatment planning.

Responsibilities include initiating therapy, managing chronic illnesses, performing hospital rounds, and communicating with patients and families to set goals and care plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Program required.
• PA license required, BLS required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and strong patient-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Take comprehensive histories and perform physical examinations.
• Coordinate and institute therapies under physician supervision.
• Perform hospital rounds and consults; participate in care planning and patient education.
• Communicate treatment goals and care plans with patients and families.
