Portsmouth, VA-based clinician role posted by Market Street Staffing seeks a Physician Assistant for long-term locum coverage in inpatient, OR, clinic, and call settings.

This 1099 independent contractor position requires 1+ year cardiothoracic or related clinical experience, VA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS/ACLS; EPIC is the EMR. Rotation includes 2 weeks on/off with rotating night and weekend call.

Qualifications

Reasonfor Coverage: Long-term permanent search

PracticeSetting:

• Inpatient, OR, Clinic and Call coverage

Schedule:

• 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
• Rotating night and weekend call

EMR: EPIC

Credentialing: 90-120 days

Requirements:

• Board certification
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum1-year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience or equivalent

Job Responsibilities (Generalized):

• Conductcomprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treata variety of medical conditions
• Developand implement individualized treatment plans
• Orderand interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribemedications and manage chronic conditions
• Providepatient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Performprocedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty

Experience:

Travel:
