Job summary

LocumTenens.com is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient cardiothoracic and vascular surgery coverage in Springfield, Ohio. The assignment runs from 9/8/2026 to 9/18/2026, with ongoing coverage 1–2 weeks per month through 2027.

Day shift with on-call responsibilities on assignment and weekend back-up. The clinician will handle postoperative care, emergency surgical interventions, and manage referrals from ED and Cath Lab.

Responsibilities

• Post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients.
• Emergency surgical intervention as needed.
• Manage consults and referrals from ED, Cath Lab, and hospital clinicians.
• Assist in surgery, rounding, coordination of care, and prescription writing.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
