Job summary

NPHire is seeking a nurse practitioner to cover cardiothoracic surgery at a Northern Kentucky facility. The assignment includes inpatient and outpatient CT surgery coverage, with day shifts and one weeknight call per week.

Board-certified NP with prescriptive authority is required, and EPIC EMR will be used for documentation. Clinicians will rounds, see consults, and coordinate an OR schedule with 2–4 surgeries per physician each day.

Qualifications

• This position requires board certification and active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Prescriptive authority is required with Kentucky or state-specific privileges.
• Roles include inpatient and outpatient CT surgery coverage.
• On-site, day shift with one weeknight call per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Respond to consults, perform rounds, and support OR scheduling with 2–4 surgeries per physician daily.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation in the EPIC EMR.
