Job summary

The role requires active Louisiana medical licensure, current BLS/ALS certifications, hospital staff membership, and board certification in Thoracic Surgery with Fellowship training.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners to practice medicine.
• Current BLS, and ALS certifications through ILCOR provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off (ALS required by specialty only).
• Must be a member of the St. Tammany Health System Medical Staff.
• Board Certification in General Surgery, Fellowship training and Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and perform thoracic surgical procedures. Coordinate care with referring physicians and collaborate with other providers.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and participate in multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
