Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC seeks a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon for a 6-month locum tenens assignment in Hartford, CT. Coverage ASAP with Mon-Fri 8a-5p plus nights and weekend calls. You will perform outpatient evaluations and manage surgical, pre-, post-operative, and critical care, including ECMO support. Credentialing 30–45 days; CT license or IMLC; ACLS/BLS; EPIC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
• Experience in inpatient and perioperative cardiac care is preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC or similar EMR systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic evaluations for cardiac surgical patients.
• Surgical, preoperative, postoperative, and critical care management.
• Daytime rounding and discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Accept transfers and provide cath lab backup.
• ICU care for postoperative cardiac patients, including ECMO support.
