Job summary

PALM Health in Saint Augustine, FL seeks an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a perm/locum-to-perm team with strong first‑assist and CABG skills. This role offers heavy OR time (around 70%), minimal on‑call, and competitive benefits with relocation assistance, as you work with a leading east coast cardiac surgery team and enjoy Florida's beaches nearby.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have surgical first assist experience in cardiothoracic procedures.
• Experience with endoscopic vein harvesting required.
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in cardiothoracic surgery with appropriate licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform peri-operative assessments and daily rounds.
• Assist in invasive surgical procedures including CABG.
• Coordinate patient care from pre‑op to post‑op.

Cardiac Surgery Program near St Augustine, FL is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant perm or locum to perm. Come sink your "toes in the water, and rear in the sand" while working with one of the best cardiac surgery team on the east coast!!

We are hiring an experienced cardiothoracic physician assistant or nurse practitioner with surgical first assist experience, endoscopic vein harvesting a requirement!

This is a cardiothoracic PA's dream! 70% OR Time! Plus minimal on-call time!

SCHEDULE: 3:12s weekly, call of those shifts; and 1 weekend coverage that is part of normal schedule!! Outstanding schedule!!

Serve as an integral role in the global management of cardiothoracic surgery patients, including all aspects of peri-operative care from performing patient histories and daily rounds to invasive surgical procedures, including endoscopic vein harvest for coronary artery bypass graft procedures.
