Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room Scrub Registered Nurse (RN) to support our heart program. You will maintain a sterile field, manage surgical instruments, assist the surgeon, and coordinate with the OR team for complex cardiothoracic procedures.

The role requires 1+ year of RN experience (cardiothoracic strongly preferred) and scrub or CVOR circulating experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Cardiothoracic experience strongly preferred.
• Scrub experience strongly preferred.
• CVOR circulating experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment throughout procedures.
• Manage surgical instruments and supply tools as needed.
• Assist the surgeon by providing required instruments and supplies.
• Perform surgical counts to ensure no instruments are left behind.
• Coordinate with the OR team for complex cardiothoracic cases.
