Job summary
AdventHealth Celebration in Florida is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit. The role leads nursing staff, drives quality improvement, mentors team members, and ensures high standards of patient care in a dynamic perioperative environment.
You will participate in professional development, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support clinical ladder opportunities. A strong nursing background and leadership experience are required.
Qualifications
- RN required
- 1+ year of cardiothoracic/cardiovascular ICU or OR experience
- Management experience preferred
- Licenses: RN, BLS, ACLS, PALS required (NRP, CCNS, CNOR, CSC, CMC preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead nursing staff performance and conduct appraisals.
- Mentor staff and organize education programs.
- Resolve conflicts and sustain a positive work environment.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.
- Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare teams for coordinated care.
- Provide hands-on training and precept new staff.
