Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a motivated Research Scholar to join the Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. The role offers exposure to photon-counting CT, advanced MRI, AI applications, quantitative imaging, and multidisciplinary translational projects.

You will work with faculty, fellows, residents, and clinical teams across cardiology, pulmonology, and oncology on innovative imaging research and academic contributions.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have MD/DO/PhD or equivalent with strong research interest in cardiothoracic imaging.
• Experience in clinical research, manuscript writing, or data analysis is preferred.
• Publications or conference presentations are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in clinical and translational cardiothoracic imaging research projects.
• Assist with manuscript preparation, literature review, and scientific writing.
• Support data collection, image analysis, and research coordination.
• Assist with abstract preparation and national meeting submissions.
• Collaborate with faculty on AI and advanced imaging initiatives.
• Contribute to academic and educational activities within the division.
