Job summary

The University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Clinical Instructor in Cardiothoracic Imaging, starting July 1, 2027. The program blends cardiovascular and thoracic imaging with hands-on CT/MRI experience and image-guided procedures.

Night reads and overnight coverage optional, with potential supplemental income. Faculty will teach residents and medical students, participate in multidisciplinary conferences, and have time to pursue research projects within fellowship

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required for radiology specialty.
• Residency in diagnostic radiology completed at an accredited program.
• USMLE/ECFMG credentials as applicable.
• Strong teaching and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences with Cardiology, CV Surgery, Pulmonology, and Pathology.
• Engage in daily teaching with residents, medical students and faculty.
• Pursue research projects during fellowship with academic time.
• Oversee final reads for ED and participate in overnight coverage as needed.
