Job summary

Dignity Health's Norton Thoracic Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix seeks an intensivist to lead complex critical care in the Cardiothoracic ICU.

You will deliver cutting-edge care to a diverse CICU patient population, including those on advanced circulatory support like ECMO and Impellas, within a collaborative team. The role requires board certification/eligibility, with strong critical care skills and willingness to participate in academic activities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with ABMS board certification (or eligibility).
• ACGME residency in relevant fields with ABMS certification.
• Fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine or Critical Care Medicine (or eligible).

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical care in the Cardiothoracic ICU (CICU).
• Manage cardiovascular, thoracic/esophageal surgical, and cardiac patients, including those on circulatory support devices (ECMO/Impella).
• Participate in a Cardiovascular Shock Team and contribute to MCS care.
• Potential for academic involvement within a teaching hospital setting.
