NYU Langone Health seeks a physician leader to advance cardiothoracic surgical care across the continuum. The role combines expert care for high-acuity cardiac surgery patients with duties in protocol development, quality oversight, and education within a premier academic health system.

The successful candidate will guide multidisciplinary teams, develop pathways for perioperative cardiac care, and mentor trainees, contributing to program development and operational excellence.

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO with board certification in Critical Care or Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Substantial critical care experience in cardiac anesthesia, CTICU or advanced cardiovascular inpatient care
• Demonstrated leadership ability in complex, time-sensitive clinical environments
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and team-building skills
• Eligibility for New York State medical licensure

Aufgaben

• Clinical responsibilities span CTICU and acute cardiovascular surgery units with expanded leadership opportunities
• Implement and standardize clinical protocols and best practices
• Lead quality improvement and outcomes initiatives
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across surgery, anesthesia, cardiology, nursing and allied health
• Educate and mentor trainees and advanced practice providers
• Drive strategic growth and innovation within CTICU and perioperative cardiac care pathways
