Job summary
Mission Pet Health in Frederick, MD is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative specialty cardiology network. You will provide high-level care, operate anesthesia, perform diagnostics, and support clients with compassionate communication in a fast-paced specialty setting.
Ideal candidates graduate from an AVMA-accredited program, hold a current license, and bring strong teamwork and patient-care skills.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
- One year of veterinary industry experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Lead and mentor the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow and professional development.
- Partner with clients, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering questions.
- Contribute to a positive culture by training, giving feedback, and upholding high hospital standards.
