Job summary

The University of Arizona invites applications for a full-time Research Scientist III (Researcher/Scientist III) in the Division of Cardiology. Based at the Tucson Campus, the role leads translational chemical biology projects to study cardiometabolic disease, supervising staff and coordinating data analysis, publications, and grant activities.

The incumbent will oversee lab operations, maintain regulatory submissions, and present findings internally and externally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience in chemical biology.
• PhD in a related science or research field preferred.
• Experience with grant proposals and regulatory submissions (IRB/IACUC) is desirable.
• Strong collaboration and leadership in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex research projects studying cardiometabolic disease using biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
• Oversee day-to-day lab operations and supervise research staff.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare figures and contribute to publications.
• Contribute to grant proposals and regulatory submissions; ensure compliance.
