Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is recruiting a registered nurse for the Cardiology Outpatient Practice with a primary focus in the Heart Failure Clinic. You will perform pre-visit preparation, direct patient care, and patient education, coordinating care transitions with providers and the care team.

The RN will contribute to nursing practice across the continuum, demonstrate leadership, and mentor colleagues. TN sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with RN licensure.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing or BSN within five years if started after date.
• One year of RN experience; cardiac care preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; leadership ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, including pre-visit prep, direct patient care and education.
• Coordinate transitions of care and collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Mentor staff and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Lead within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model.
