Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse with cardio-vascular specialization to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients. The RN will work with an interdisciplinary team to manage cardiac conditions, interpret tests, educate patients, and administer medications as ordered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required.
• Minimum of three years Cardiac RN experience in an acute care or cardiology clinic setting required.
• Current unrestricted RN license as per state regulations; BLS on hire; ACLS within 60 days of hire.
• Cardiac Medicine Certification (CMC) or Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification (CV-BC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for cardiac-vascular patients as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Performs and interprets various cardiac and vascular lab tests.
• Educates patients on cardiovascular diseases and preventive measures.
• Administers medications per physician orders; posts results and documents in records.
• Responds to urgent situations to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Assists in performing diagnostic tests such as ECGs/EKGs and uses Holter/Event monitors.
• Monitors vitals and cardiovascular readings; ensures adherence to ACC/AHA guidelines.
