Cerro Alto Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital in San Luis Obispo, CA, is seeking an experienced Cardiology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our 24/7 specialty and emergency team. The RVT will assist board-certified cardiologists with diagnostics, anesthesia support, and client communication, while mentoring junior staff.

As a new, state-of-the-art facility, we are equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, including a 128-slice CT scanner, fluoroscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and endoscopy. Our hospital includes full-time boarded surgery, radiology, and oncology services, part-time cardiology and internal medicine services, and a 24/7 emergency department supported by experienced emergency veterinarians.

As a member of our cardiology team, you will work alongside our board-certified cardiologists to provide hands‑on care for complex cardiac patients. You will play an active role in patient assessment, diagnostics, anesthesia and procedural support, treatments, and client communication while working closely with our cardiology and specialty teams. This position is ideal for an experienced RVT who enjoys specialty medicine and wants to continue developing their clinical skills.

These differentials are separate and cumulative . Team members working eligible overnight hours during the weekend differential period may earn both differentials, providing the opportunity to earn up to an additional $6.00/hour above their base rate.

The pay range for this role is:
