Qualifications

• 1–3 years of prior authorization or healthcare admin experience.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Knowledge of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and follow up on prior authorization requests for procedures, testing, imaging, and medications.
• Verify insurance benefits and coverage requirements.
• Review EOBs and resolve authorization issues.
• Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, providers, and staff on status.
• Document authorization activity in the EMR.
• Follow up on denials and appeals to minimize delays.
• Stay updated on payer guidelines and cardiology authorization requirements.
• Assist with patient scheduling and front-office duties as needed.
