Job summary

Mount Nittany Health in State College, PA, is recruiting a BC/BE General Cardiologist for hospital consults in a thriving community with access to a major university town lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiology consults for inpatients and hospital physicians.
• Oversee device clinic for pacemaker and cardiac implant patients.
• Work within a team of 3 general cardiologists, 2 interventionalcardiologists and 6 cardiology PAs.
• Operate and support 1 cath lab, 1 vascular/EP lab and 1 cardiac CT (expanding).

Mount Nittany Health is recruiting a skilled, BC/BE General Cardiologist to meet the community need! Join a well-established, employed group of 8 physicians and 7 PA-C s. Located in State College, PA, Mount Nittany Medical Center is a 260-bed acute care facility with a new, state of the art bed tower opening in the fall of 2026 which will make all of the med/surg rooms fully private. This is an opportunity to join a strong, independent health system that offers all of the luxuries of a college town including short commutes, NCAA Sports, Arts, high quality schools and outdoor recreation abounds with beautiful hiking and biking trails. Community based medicine is a plus! The physician will be provided a robust recruitment package.

The Position

• Full Time; IP/OP; Cardiology consult hospital coverage (no IP hospital CV service, just consultation)
• 3 General Cardiologists, 2 Interventional Cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists and 6 Cardiology PA-C s
• Call is 1:5
• Device Clinic for Pacer and Cardiac Implant Patients
• 1 Cath Lab
• 1 Vascular/EP Lab
• 1 Cardiac CT (expected early 2027)
• 5 Special Procedures Rooms 2 Vascular and 3 Echo rooms on site and 2 Echo rooms at Outreach locations
• EMR: Epic (as of May )
• 1 Vascular Surgeon and 1 Vascular PA share Cardiology practice space

Compensation Package

Competitive base salary + wRVU production incentive

CME allowance
