Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration seeks a Physician Assistant to manage the Outpatient Cardiology Clinic and oversee cardiology services, including the stress lab coverage where applicable. The PA will use advanced clinical skills to diagnose, plan, and implement treatment plans for Veterans with cardiac conditions.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in outpatient cardiology, can practice autonomously, and are familiar with CPRS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outpatient general cardiology experience preferred.
• Ability to practice autonomously, including ordering and interpreting diagnostics, medication management, and treatment planning.
• Experience with VHA CPRS preferred; telehealth experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for cardiology patients to ensure timely, high-quality, cost-effective services.
• Provide professional assessment, planning and coordination of multiple health care services for inpatients and outpatients with cardiac diseases.
• Prescribe medications and adjunctive modalities as appropriate; provide patient and family education and collaborate with other health care providers.
