Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Arizona.
• Certified by the NCCPA.
• Specialization in Cardiology required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in either Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience in underserved populations highly desirable.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing examinations, obtaining and updating medical histories.
• Collaborate with physicians to formulate treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and studies.
• Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness.
• Document patient care and maintain records.
• Develop care plans and transitions for continuity of care.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and adhere to infection control policies.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and advise management on needed actions.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the healthcare team.
