Job summary
New York Cardiovascular Medicine in New York, NY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient cardiology team, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care alongside our physicians.
The ideal candidate will perform evaluations, diagnose, manage chronic conditions, order tests, educate patients, and collaborate with staff while maintaining EMR documentation.
This is a full-time, day-shift role with opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced specialty practice.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active NY NP license and DEA registration.
- MSN or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or equivalent.
- Board certification in FNP/AGPCNP/AGACNP preferred.
- Experience in outpatient cardiology or internal medicine is highly valued.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cardiology team.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including history and physical exams.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
- Order, interpret, and review ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, labs, and imaging.
- Educate patients on medications, lifestyle, and disease prevention.
- Prescribe medications per NYS regulations and coordinate care with physicians.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate referrals.
