Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology team in Bloomington, IN. The role supports 12 physicians and 6 APPs, with a 32-hour workweek and day shift.

Key responsibilities include patient consultations, follow-ups, and management of cardiovascular conditions, with close collaboration with cardiologists and the care team. A strong compensation package and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience taking care of general cardiology patients as an APP.
• BLS certification.
• NP or PA with Indiana-specific credentials (AGNP, FNP, or PA).
• MSN for NP in Indiana; current RN licensure in Indiana.
• PA must be certified as a Physician Assistant in Indiana.
• Board certification required; new APN grads have 3 months to obtain it.

Responsabilités

• Performs new patient consultations and follow-ups with histories and physicals.
• Evaluates and manages cardiovascular conditions (CAD, HTN, hyperlipidemia, heart failure).
• Orders and interprets diagnostic studies and adjusts treatment plans.
• Initiates and manages cardiovascular medications per guidelines.
• Provides post-hospital and transitional care follow-up.
