Job summary

Kaweah Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiology Center in Visalia. The role delivers comprehensive care within a physician-led team, including history taking, exams, and education.

You will coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to support cardiac patients across the care continuum. Required CA NP license, DEA, nursing license, BLS, and board-certified NP credentials or equivalent Medicare billing privileges.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid California NP license and DEA registration.
• NP with furnishing number required for prescribing.
• RN license in CA plus BLS certification.
• Board-certified NP or equivalent Medicare billing privileges prior to specific dates.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete health history including obstetric, gynecologic, medical and family health data.
• Perform general exams, diagnostic tests, and procedures within scope of training.
• Provide patient education on medications, disease management and health promotion.
• Follow up on abnormal findings and refer to specialists as needed.
• Document all care and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Consult with supervising physician on complex cases per protocols.
• Engage in continuous professional development and clinical leadership activities.
• Coordinate clinic coverage and ensure team-based, patient-centered care.
