Job summary

Rochester Regional Health in Penn Fair, New York, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiology team on a full-time, dayshift schedule. You will take complex medical histories, perform physical examinations, order labs and imaging, and contribute to diagnostic and treatment planning.

You will develop and adjust treatment plans with attending physicians, interact regularly with patients and families, and document thoroughly to support quality care and research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Take complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation; perform physical exams; order tests and imaging.
• Management & Development: develop tentative diagnoses and treatment plans with attending physicians; arrange consultations; support research data collection.
• Patient Satisfaction: interact with patients and families, demonstrate empathy, educate, collect information and counsel.
• Medication & Orders: prescribe medications, write orders, adjust plans for acute changes.
• Documentation: maintain complete patient histories, review records, and record data for medical status and treatment plans.
